Default E3 Spark Plugs

So I just picked up a set of the E3 spark plugs , and will put them in when I get the chance into my 2.0L bug engine . Is any body using these? Do they work as good as they claim? Any issues? Just curious . Let me know . Thanks . Dakota

I have not used them... I just use the stock NGK ones... Let us know if they work out for ya and don't cause any misfires..

I have tried them and did not like them at all. I had them installed right after getting my head all rebuilt( all new valves) and they started to foul out after 10,000 miles. I took them back to the store a nd got new ones(lifetime warranty) and the new ones did not seem to last any longer before they started to foul out. I talked to my mechanic and he told me just to go to diffrent plugs. I am back to running with bosch. E3 did not warranty the second set unless I wanted to send them to their factory for testing, and then maybe they would send me a new set. I think that they are a waste of money for the price. they might run better in other cars. we put them on a wire wheel and put them in a friends KIA and it runs fine. Good Luck
ps I tried them on a 1.8turbo maybe they just don't like the heat.

I was going to install them the other day , but looked and found the intake is going to make it difficult for a quick install - I might just wait until I take the intake off to fix my valve cover leak .

I've used the E3 spark plugs for over20k without any problems. Now, that's in my Grand Marquis. Not exactly the same platform. But they've been working well for me.

I used them in my 2004 Audi TT 1.8T 225 and they ran fine. The car was chipped and I ran one heat range cooler than stock.
Prior to that I ran the NGK Copper ones for 10 bucks a set. To be honest I really didn't see a difference in either performance or gas mileage. I haven't tried them in the 1.8T Beetle yet and probably won't. I got the Beetle REVO Tuned and am running NGK copper plugs in it. Seems to run fine.

I've been running them in my Acura Integra with a swapped B20 and love them, not sure if they are really worth the $5 each but it did smooth out the idle in my little Acura and add some throttle response.
