Default any way/tool to help remove dr.airbag?

looking for a tool (other than a long screwdriver) that i can use to unclip my steering wheel airbag.

i've tried a small screwdriver but it's too long either way.
not looking to remove the dash, those clips are so fragile that every time i try to remove it another plastic piece breaks and crumbles.

is there a way to remove the airbag without dissasembling the dash? If so, what tool? And where does one get it?

You need a screwdriver that is about 6-8" long IIRC, and that is strong enough so that it wont bend. Remove the trim from around the steering column (with the wheel out/down) and it will give you the room you need to release the spring. The trim is just held in place by 2 phillips screws from the bottom. I fought with this for a long time and couldn't get enough range of motion on it until I removed the trim.

When you think you are on the spring, push down on the airbag slightly, then pry as much as you can, pull on the airbag and it should pop loose. They are tricky buggers, but once you get the hang of it its not so hard.
