Default Coilover upper strut nut install cost?

I don't need the coilovers actually installed, per-say, but my buddy helping me put them in sorta got confused and we didn't put the strut nut (the one that sits in the upper strut mount) in.

It drives fine from what I can tell, but I'm sure that nut should be in there regardless.

Coming home from college in a few days, that short thanksgiving break isn't really enough time to fit in doing this job myself, so i figure i might just take it to a shop.

Anyone know how much this would cost?
Remove front struts, put in nuts, re-install. (Alignment too afterwards.)

and is not having those two nuts in exploding my engine or something that i should know about? The car feels fine as far as i can tell...

Are you talking about the nut that secures the strut mount/bearing to the coilover?

Or the nut thats visible from the strut towers in the engine bay?

In any event, both could be done without removing the strut from the spindle if they are creative.

if its just the top nut, it shouldnt cost much since all they have to do is put the nut on hit it with an impact (getting to it would involve removing the wipers and wiper cowl)

if its the other one, its a little more difficult but you should get some new friends asap

it's not the one on top, unfortunately =\
oh wait, so, you're saying i don't have to take the entire assembly out, that might be true...
suggestions?

Take the one on top of strut tower off, and lower the whole assembly, you can throw the nut on from the top and with an extension you can tighten the mount/bearing to the coilover,
an impact gun will help here, then raise the assembly and put the top cover on the strut tower and put the last nut on and your done.

I had to correct a friends suspension install where they forgot to put the bearing on, some people just have no common sense

i told him i was like, hey aren't these supposed to go on here? and he convinced me they weren't lol.
I saw them on the stock struts and i was all like
but, do you think anything bad has happened because of this?
as i said, it seems to drive fine :P

nah i dont think anything happened, the weight of the car keeps the mount/bearing in place

yea that's the main reason i kinda let it slide cuz it did sorta make sense, the whole assembly is being sandwiched by the car and the ground... whatever lol
