3rd brake light not working

I went to the auto parts store today to get washing/waxing supplies for my new Beetle I purchased Monday and when I was backing out to leave I noticed in the reflection of my car in the building glass that my passenger side and 3rd brake light were out. Convenient right?

I went back in and bought a brake bulb and got the passenger light going after looking up here how to get the tail light out so I'm all good there.

The parts guy showed no replacement for the 3rd brake light and said it might be LED. Is this worth messing with? The light already feels somewhat loose in the hatch and I've read where they can break easy and lead to leaks inside the hatch.

Long story short, is this 3rd brake light worth fooling with?

if it's loose it's worth replacing because it will leak water that runs through your latch.
