Smile 2007 and up headlight info??

I'm trying to replace my headlight bulb in my 07NBC. There seems to be sooo much info for different years but none for the 07 and up. The 07's are different from the 06 and older. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot!!

Wink I know, here we go again...

H7 bulbs for upper and lower beams, H11 in the fogs. Always replace halogens in pairs. The brightness deminishes with age. www.ECSTuning.com sells them online. Sure most auto supplies do as well.

Both bulbs are 55 watt; brightness is measured in "lumens", however, no one publishes this number. It actually is a measurement as to how a bulb lights the subject. Typically the lumens for H7 and H11 bulbs range +/- 10%. Don't be confused when you see a measurement of a bulb's brightness expressed in "K" [i.e. 6000K ("kelvins")]. This is a description of the "color". Typically H7 and H11 bulbs will be in the 3000K - 3550K color range. Those are the bulbs, these are the facts.

But, here we go again...

For what its worth, i should mention that all 98-2005 beetles are the same. The 2006-2010 (not sure if there was 2011...) are all the same.

Exclamation

Just to clarify that statement -
1998-2005 - H1 bulbs in heads (upper and lower) and fogs
2006-2010 - H7 heads (upper and lower) and H11 in fogs

I am a little concerned that the actual change in the heads may have occured during the '05 production year, because I have an '05 Owners Manual that mentions H7s. I have yet to confirm this, but can not come up with any other reason for H7s to be mentioned in an '05 OM.

(Btw- If you want your fogs to really work, ECS sells the proper yellows for the fogs in both H1 & H11, and the Euro switch for proper fog usage.)
