Default 99 passenger headlight dead

Hey org, my passenger side light is dead. Only the Projector light now the brights. I tried different bulbs, and my hid burned out last night, and a reg bulb did as well. What options do i have besides running a 2nd set of wires and a different plug.

Find the problem and fix it. You'll need a multi-meter to find the problem, if it's beyond the plug. Plug might not be the answer as it could be a broken or loose wire connection. New wiring might not be the answer as it could be the plug. Could even be something else. You need to determine if there is power at the plug and work back from there, unless there is, in which case you've found the culprit, the plug! That simple test can be accomplished with a 12v. test light.

When you take out your headlights, you disconnect this from the car because its how they get power.

What is the condition of those wires? With time, the wiring eventually goes bad and if they begin to touch, they can cause shorts. You can electrical tape them or replace them if needed.

See here for the wiring harness pictured above. It isn't as expensive as you think.

I've got the same issue. New bulbs work, but the voltage is 10.5v or so constant. So I'm assuming the wires are just old/fried and might be shorting, too much current is probably blowing them.
That is the plug I need thanks for the link! The epoxy in the 2 part plug is all fried as well.

Burns a lot of stuff out. Plus, they're NOT NECESSARY.

my wires look so bad previous owner cut/glued the lowlight power wire together and back apart. so i'm guessing that is my problem. I Have some plans for my lighting regardless. Is there anyway of preventing this with hids, or will this be a common issue?

I had this problem as well. My passenger side low beam went out over and over. I tried to track down the culprit with a multi-meter and I was not getting any power from the pigtail.

I decided to make my own headlight relay wiring harness. I got the idea from a company that make these types of kits for Toyota Landcruisers.

Anyway, I used two 30 amp relays, two 30 amp inline fuses and a bunch o wire. The battery is in a great place to wire everything up right in front. So far so good, works without any problems, haven't had to replace any bulbs so far.
