My car is a 2002 nb turbo s, would an APR turboback from a mk4 gti fit my car with no problems?

To my knowledge, golf and beetle exhausts are interchangeable.

The only thing is to make sure it exits in the bumper cut out.

That's the only issue you will have.
Everything else is a straight bolt-on.
A tailpipe will need to be fab'd up.

Yeah Golf and Beetle exhausts are the same other than the rear exit. I have a stainless 2.5" exhaust from a GTI 337 on my car, we just put a turndown tip on it.

And what if its designed for a gti with a bumper cutout? Am I still going to have problems with one like that?

Since your car has a bumper cutout, you want the gti exhasut w/ bumper cutout.

If you owned a regular beetle [that doesn't have a bumper cutout], and tried using a gti bumper cutout exhaust, you would have to modify the muffler pipes.

As well, if you bought an exhaust system for a regular beetle and tried installing on your car, you would have a gap between your bumper and the tips because the tips are angled down and out.

Long and short of it...YES, GTI exhaust w/ bumper cutout is what will fit properly.

It still won't fit, plan on a custom exit no matter what.

Why wouldn't it? I'm looking at replacing my exhaust w/ a GTI bumer cutout exhaust and was informed it would fit the Turbo S perfectly.

I had a GTI exhaust put on my car and I saw where the tip wanted to go, It's not going to work. Just going from my limited memory of eyeballing it a year and a half ago or so I'd say the cutout on a GTI is ~1-2" higher than on a NB with a Turbo S / Votex bumper with a cutout.

What you are saying is that it will hang lower on a Turbo S?

...No it will hang higher. There's no notch where it wants to go so it won't fit without modification.

The TS bumper hangs down lower so the GTI tailpipe will be aimed straight into the bumper.
Everything else fits great, you just need to fab a tailpipe after the muffler.

Can I modify the hanger and hang the tailpipe lower? I have ordered the exhaust already and its on the way I hope it dosent give me a problem with anything else. I talked to APR and they said that it would fit.

Nope, we're not talking about 1/4" here, you will need to have a tailpipe made/fabricated/bent.

You can't lower the exhaust because the mid pipe, which is already really close since it's 3", would hit the rear axle and the vibration would drive you nuts.

The exhaust will fit, and perhaps your kit comes with a bent tailpipe. If it only comes with straight pipes then it will not clear a Turbo S bumper. Been there done that.

This isn't something I read about, or heard from a friend of a friend,
The 3" GTI exhaust will fit all the way to the muffler and but you will have to have a bent tailpipe.

I'm glad someone had the same experience as I did. Just have the shop put a turndown on it and you'll be fine.
