I would start with an ECU program, air intake, turbo inlet pipe, then later on a turboback exhaust. I love mine hope you enjoy it too!

There are a few knowledgable people here that will help you with your mod question...I know cuz they are helping me
I own a Turbo S myself and plan on doing the following:

Audi TT225 injectors
VR6 MAF
Neuspeed short ram intake
Frankenturbo 3inch to 50mm TIP
Frankenturbo highflow exhaust manifold
Frankenturbo F4H-T MK1 K04 hybrid turbo
Silicone Boost hoses
Silicone PCV hoses
Lower intercooler pipe
FMIC

Good Luck

An ECU program is also called a tune. You need to find someone who is a dealer for whatever tune you want, such as APR, Unitronic, Revo, etc.

I currently run APR and I love it, it is very smooth and reliable and you can change the program via the cruise control buttons. But I havent tried others such as Revo, Techtronics or Giac althoug I have heard good things about those too. The price of mine was $500. Hope that helps.

I might be one of those guys Palmettoguy is refering to.

As the old saying goes, "Speed Costs, how fast can you afford to go?"
What's your budget?

A tune is definitely a plus, Malone Tuning has been offering a great introductory tune to get his name out there with the gas folks. He's known for his Diesel tuning already.

I have a FrankenTurbo that puts down 300 Ft/Lbs of torque and 250-ish HP at the wheels running a Unitronic Stage 2+ with the upgraded turbo.
3" Exhaust is only for upgraded turbo, the 2.5" systems are great for a stock turbo.

Without a turbo upgrade, any other upgrade other than a free flowing exhaust and a tune is just tossing money out.

so how bout this put 205 miles on the car and the timing belt broke on the freeway bout 30 miles from my house it already had 114000 on it so i assumed it had been changed already, i have owned it for 4 days and in ohio i guess i had only 3 days to return it. So now im kinda mad about the situation.

That blows. Did you buy it from a dealer? If so they may work with you on the repair cost.

Hope he didn't give up on his car. No activity since he posted about the TB. I was wondering the same thing. Are you in a holding pattern with yours, PG, right now until parts come in?

Yeah sorry have been pretty mad about the situation. My gf father owns a shipping yard and there he pays a mechanic hourly, a ase mechanic at that so he said i could take it there, well its there and still has not been fixed i think im going to call him today and find out whats going on. So far all i know thats wrong with it is that it chewed three teeth off the belt. Yes i bought it from a dealer but i guess ohio law states i only 72 hours for something to break or take it back and i dont really have the money to fix it. I am a mechanic myself as well but i work for a company called conrads and working 10-12 a day gives me no time what so ever to look at it. sorry for not posting a reply this whole thing has me kinda mad. I did call the dealer and they just kept saying what do you want me to do i kept telling him to fix it they pretty much told me to <f> off

I hope he makes it back as well. It's always nice to see another TS on here

Yeah, If all goes well, I'll have the hose kit, turbo and SMIC this week. Then it's a matter of installing it all.
The hoses and SMIC seem pretty straight forward to install. It's the turbo install I'm worried about.

I may have to contract that out to my local mech

I hope you get everything fixed up. I'd be willing to bet that you bent some valves and need head work done.

You could also possibly get a rebuilt or used head on the cheap if you look on ebay.

Well, keep us posted...

Figured you were mad about what happened. I too would be worried about head and valve damage from what I have read on here, I'm sorry to say, your damage evaluation doesn't look promising. Keep us updated.

I was thinking bout getting a whole new motor but i dont know really know what to do at this point at all. I just sold my truck and gf is prego so I have to figure out a way to fix this and working 11 hour days i get no time to try to. On top of it im down to one car for both of us now. So yeah I getting to bbe beyond mad at this point. I had the car for four days total run time now its been so long the 30 day plate is up.

Man, I feel for you. Sorry to hear about all your misfortunes.

I thought my mech destroyed my engine after he did the TB/WP change. I spent all weekend doing research and price comparisons.

Turned out my motor was fine and it was just a boost hose that wasn't connected...

Anyways, if the head had been toast but my pistons were good, my plan was to have the head replaced. It seemed I could get a rebuilt head cheaper than the cost of having mine rebuilt.

A new engine will cost a lot more, obviously, but most come with a warranty so that will you give you some peace of mind.

I truely appreciate you keeping us informed. There are many people here w/ expertise that are more than willing to help you and give advice where needed.

Well, best of luck to you and I hope you're able to get everything sorted out...and congrats on the soon to be new edition to your family.
