Question Air intake & exhaust question??

For our 2000 2.0 GLS, I am thinking about the purchase of the K&N 57 series intake filter, and Magnaflow cat back. Other than the obvious sound difference, what can I expext from fuel mileage, and performance with just the addition of these? I apologise, as I'm sure this has been asked a 100 times before. Thanks for any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions.

Thanks for the reply! Also, If you or anybody else could answer one more question. If I did install these, would I see any CEL's from altering the intake and exhaust flows?? I know people say why bother when it's only a "2.sLow", but until we can come across a nice turbo dub, I still like to tinker .
Thanks again for any help

you might not get a CEL with just those mods. But be careful, some intake kits have been known to pop the MAF. Happened to me before with my 1.8t

No-one should ever buy K&N air filters. If anything, they decrease horsepower, and the oil particles from the filter ruin your MAF. I know it's a lot to get your head around, but read this if you want to learn why.
