1998 struts - which and where?

I need to buy some struts (and strut mounts) for the front of my car. Only the front though.

The problem is, I don't know a ton about cars to really know the difference between which brand is good and not, or what to look for. Another thing is, is that I don't have a ton of money to be throwing around to just buy top expensive ones.

So, I have a few questions.

Where should I buy this? I'm sure there's strut kits that come with everything, right? I've seen a few and they seem pretty decent but they've all come with all 4 wheels- I only need front.
If there are any 4 wheel deals that are good though, I'd be open minded since I might as well do this all now while I have a mechanic willing to do it for free.
Is there a place you can direct me to that might have good deals?
My beetle is 1998 beetle is a 2.0 engine

Also, I've found these for sale. This is a good brand, right?
But the thing is, what is the difference between all of these?

They all look the same to me, and they all say they fit the car, the only difference is Sports type or General type or whatnot.
