first of all mr charizard, if it was a defect, VW wouldn't have spent millions designing it. True, there is no real excuse for not putting such technology in pretty much every car on the market. It has been out for a while and is relatively cheap. However you're forgetting one minor detail. Corporations are greedy. They want to spend as little as possible on cars that they are going to sell for the $20kish range.

If it's such a safety issue, then don't drive the car. Simple as that. Nobody held a gun to anybodies head and said you must buy a NBC or I'm going to kill you. Yes you may think it looks "iconic" or "cute" but nobody made you do it. You took a test drive and should have weighed the pros and cons before you made a decision.

I am not employed by VW nor have I ever been. I'm what you call a person with common sense. Yes hard to believe it I know, there aren't many of those around anymore but it's true.

I fail to see how everybody thinks that the new Beetle looks nothing like the original. It would be more correct to say that the 98-2010 NB looked nothing like the original. The model that is out now is what they should have done in the first place. Anybody who things the NB is the most perfect replica of the old beetle must have never seen one, or has very bad skills at comparing things.

What makes you think I have a "sloth" as you attempt to call it. If you knew how to read (and spell, it's disqualifies) then you would see that I don't even have a VW, and I haven't had one for 5 years. So how about you shut the hell up. Don't assume you know anything about me. Also, you sure as hell better not call me a queer ever again mr I've been on this forum for 1 day and I'm gunna try and be a bad

Charigus...you aren't getting off on the right foot here in our forum. I see you have an issue with your car, but no need to troll and badger everyone on here.

This topic is going nowhere but bansville...play nice everyone.
