First suspension mods

I have a question and I have been thinking of doing this to my 2010 Beetle.I want to do some suspension mods to it.Where Do I start?A couple people in a VW club in my area I am in say the Koni struts.I plan on doing some engine mods to it later on also.I know a co worker that has a set of brand new Konis for my 2010 and I have first bids at it.It rides good for being stock enjoying it since it is my "baby" and no one else touches it.I drive it on the street mostly.
