Default dual hid highs stuck on

i installed dual xenon hid kits today four bulbs and four ballasts

the lows are 35w and the highs 55w with the car in run the lows are on in drl mode (to be bypassed to separate drl bulbs anyone know to where to tap for that) and if you pull the stock the high beams work ...but
if you turn on the headlights the lows are on and the highs try to come on and the high beam indicator is flikering
if you turn on the high beams the indicator comes on like normal

i have the kit hooked right to the factory wiring

any ideas?

Sounds like wiring still.

im leaning towards a load requirement ....?

my high beam bulb and low that i took out were the same wattage is there a circuit in the system that looks for a near short like a bulb load ?

other than that bypass the harness add 4 relays and some 12g wire
is there a schematic anyone would recommend with additional components like diodes or load resistors

It is definitely a wiring issue.

I've installed way too many HID kits to know otherwise lol. Somewhere, you installed something backwards and it is causing something to flicker.

The DRLs do not really interfere with anything as much as I thought they would. I experienced this when i swapped headlight switches for a euroswitch and my HIDs were on during the day. Later on i found out that the DRLs were reactivated. So its definitely not that.

Again, just double check everything. I had flickering on my most current setup at first because i accidentally reversed a negative and a positive. I TOTALLY didn't see it at first but after looking everything over, i saw it and had to facepalm lol.

Good luck!

i will recheck my wiring i did throw it together in a hurry in the dark

edit :
checked harness brown to grounds yellow to lows green to highs red to positive black to negative the bulb couldnt be backwards the connectors aren't interchangeable
and just for experiment sake i unplugged each ballast one at a time with no change even with all four unplugged the high beam indicator then stays on constant (no flickering) but will not shut off when triggered

do you use additional relays ?

as part of a future project the drl circuit it getting routed to separate led or other (halo) marker lights in the headlight so dont neccisarily want to disable drls i want to have

drl light when key on
lows when headlights on
highs as needed
fogs as needed

would this euro switch help with this ? or does it just add an extra circuit ? or is that what i want and still disable the drl circuit ?

(just typing out loud to figure this out)
