Default Eibach Pro System Kit Install

I'm getting the Eibach Pro System Kit installed on my NB, since the suspension is 12 years old and the upper strut bearings. The shop that im probably going to have do most if not all my installs. Anyway the kit is ~$570, then he said the install would run $405. I dont know much about installing suspension, but id just like to know if $400 is reasonable or not.

Thanks for the help.

Are you replaceing the struts and shocks along with the springs? I used to have the Eibach Pro Kit on my Audi TT and it was great along with my Koni struts and shocks. The stock struts won't be able to handle lowering springs for very long. Also an alignment will be necessary after the install. $400 is a bit steep for installation of Springs. A shop can easily do that in about 2 hours in all four corners. I personally would do it yourself and safe the money. It may take you a little longer without a lift and some powertools but it can be done. I would check around. I think 250-300 would be a fair labor price for shocks/struts and springs.

Sorry that link doesn't bring up the Eibach kit. Just a bunch of listings for all sorts of stuff.

I cut and pasted the link instead and it did bring up the Tire Rack link.

Yup, that looks good. Springs and all.

So is $400 still kind a steep?

I think so. Unless it includes an alignment which you will definitely need.

One of the reasons most places charge more for our strut changes is the extra effort required to do the Front drivers side. You either undo the cv joint, or you loosen the subframe to get the extra space need to get it out.
It's not that hard for a competent shop, but it does add time to the process.
If they've actually done good work on your car before- I feel its worth any extra bump just for the security that provides.
Hard to find a good shop- I like to reward those that are.
