Default Exhaust tip through reverse light! Anyone?

Borrowed from BeetleThis to show what I want.

but only looking to have the tailpipe come out the left side. Any problems with this mod besides only one rev. Light? And what do I need to do it? is there a DIY anywhere? Nothing came up while searching.
My beetle is a 2000 though so it's slightly different. Also a TDi if that has any relevance lol
Thanks!

Never seen that before. And that would be a Turbo S (or at least the bumper).

With a TDI, I wouldn't want that...you'd have one seriously dirty bumper that way.

Well dirt isn't an issue I clean it a good bit and have a black coat on my bumper from my current exhaust but it points down and under the bumper....so in order to do this it would curve up leaving water and such in the tailpipe wouldn't it? So maybe it would be a no go?

Yes that's what I'm looking for but not through both spots just the one reverse light, and I'm wondering on how to do it or what I'll need. Or if it is really possible on my car....Anything is possible but how much modification is needed?

Take it on down to the local exhaust shop. The light just unbolts so all they gotta do is run the pipe and make the hangers. As stated by smileybug, the soot is gonna build up farther up on the back of the car from the back draft as you roll down the road. If you think it gets dirty now, I am guessing it will be a lot worse with the mod. But it will look cool. You will just have to wash it more.

I'm gonna go get a quote this week After further inspection I don't think I'd be able to do it myself b/c I'd like to keep my muffler so the dual tips would have to be put into one obviously...But I guess we'll see! Pretty excited as I think it will be an awesome asthetic mod!
