Default VR6 Beetle Performance Increase?

Hello I have a 1998 Beetle with a 2000 Jetta VR6 in it. I was wondering if there is any way to get more power from the engine. I already have a K&N cold air intake and a Magnaflow exhaust? Also is it even worth chipping?

Chips are not worth the money for the VR6. Not much gain for the coin you will have to shell out.. Save your coin and put a turbo on it.

Chipping a VR6 is totally useless. Chips are only worth it if you have a Turbo otherwise they do very little. Not much else you can do to the car unless you want to go inside the engine and bore it out, use differnt pistons, different cams etc. But now you are talking serious money.

I have looked into a turbo kit but I don't know where I could get it to fit. It's a tight squeeze in there. Do you know where I could put it?

See if you can't find a picture of an HPA Beetle. They did VRT's if I remember correctly but not sure where they put it.

Has anyone seen a writeup on this swap? It would be nice to see what custom mods are needed and if anyone offers parts to make it easier.
