Can someone point me in the right direction on how to replace a cabin filter on my 1999 Beetle TDI?

Chalk up another project for this weekend.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question...
Can you get a "scented" kind or add some kind of scent to your cabin filter (much like home air filters)?

Ok in the manual book 3.2 page 52 it says it is located under the right side dashboard cover.

Hey Gilligan, It looks like I have the same tail lights as you. Have you had any problems with moisture in the clear housing? One of mine seems to be getting crusty on the inside I'm assuming its from moisture.

Yep when its cold and the sun shines on them condensation shows up inside. gotta love the high quality of the asian product, of course if you had the factory red lenses who knows maybe they have it also you just don't get to see it?

They only come non-scented, but you could probably use some scented oil or somethin'

throw a bounce sheed in on top of it or under it depends on which way the air flows.

I know this is late (two years) but I changed mine and sprayed it with Febreeze before installing.
