Default Cigarette lighter (under the arm rest) not working

If any one can give me suggestions, I would be greatful. My cigarette lighters were both out so I replaced the fuse. One of them works now but the other one under the arm rest still doesn't work. Any ideas?

thanks,

I changed one fuse and both of mine worked after. Check out my thread on this subject. Someone posted a fuse diagram.

Nope... I'm pretty sure they're all on the same fuse.

But... it could certainly be that the rear cigarette lighter is what caused the fuse to blow in the first place. It might very well have a short. Pop the insert out of the center console and have a look for any bare wires (or burn marks). You can also pretty easily pop out the little panel with the cigarette lighter in it, and check the connector. Make sure it's seated properly and fully, and doesn't have any burn marks on it that would indicate arc'ing.

* Edit: sorry... I just noticed you had a 2001... popping the insert out of the center console, and popping the lighter panel out, is probably only applicable to 2004+. Someone with a 2001 would have a better idea of how to get the lighter out. But you probably want to do so to check the connector, as above.
