Default Audi TT brake rotors

I am getting conflicting advice on this. Will Audit TT brake rotors bolt on to my 1998 2.slow???? I am getting some new rims and want to cheaply do a bigger brake behind them.

You can bolt the rotors on, but you need a larger caliper carrier to push the caliper farther out to clear the rotor. a lot of tuning companies carry complete kits with new rotors, caliper carriers, bolts, etc for a decent price.

iirc the 2.0 caliper bolts directly onto the knuckle, it doesn't have a carrier like the 1.8 version... I don't think it'll work for you.

i appologize. I skipped right over the 2.0 part. You would need to get a spindle from a 1.8t or vr6 in order to do the TT kit.

Trust me, it's a worthwhile upgrade

If you have a 2.0L then you then I don't believe it would be a direct bolt on, some parts would have to be changed.

The 2.0L doesn't have much juice under the hood and I realize that what I'm about to say is subjective, however, I have to say that this isn't a cost effective worth while upgrade unless you've added a super charger or something.

You might want to consider changing to better than stock quality "slotted" rotors on all four corners and replacing the stock pads with Ultimate Axxis brake pads, this would lend a nice look and a significant performance improvement over the stock setup without the unnecessary time and expense of what would be required for a big brake upgrade.
