Default HID install where did people mount there ballasts?

As the title says i just insalled HID's in to my wonderful VW's huge engine bay and i was wondering where people are mounting there ballast?

also when i go to turn my fogs on with my hids the pass side hid turns off????? I dont kwow when because i didnt even touch the pass side fog during the install? anyone have any idea.

Awesome placer for ballasts is inside fender linears. Just remove wheel and plastic linear and you'll see a hole that you can bolt it up to and route wire to the headlight which is very close. It's very clean and invisible installation. Too bad I didn't get any pics

When you remove your headlights, look through the opening and you'll see a hollow tube. I can't think of any other way to describe it but it's part of the frame of the car. On my NBC I mounted both ballasts inside these tubes. It's convenient and the ballasts are hidden.

That's where I bolted mine to but on the sides because my ballasts did not fit in there.
