Default Golf /JettalV suspension on NB??

Hi im new to the Beetle and had a question regarding suspension.

I would like to know if a set of coilovers (FK - sportline) from a GTI 1.8t would fit on my '00 NB TDI. I've asked servral people already and i've been getting many different answers. Anyone know exactly?

Thanks in advance!!!

I am pretty sure that they're not interchangeable, you might go to the Koni, Bilstein etc. websites and compare the part numbers of like suspension model for both cars to see if they are the same.

You could also call these companies directly for the answer, this way you can step beyond opinions and get the facts.

The Golf/Jetta Mk IV suspension will bolt up with no problems.

Now the catch.....the front and rear weight of the Golf and Jetta are close to the same balance, but the NB f/r weight balance is different and the car will not sit 100% correctly.

Well, he is getting coilovers so the height can be adjusted properly

Yes they are adjustable coilovers so I guess the ride hight can be fixed.

Thanks for your answers, I've been getting more "certain" than uncertain opinions so that's good.

Ohh, and as far as fit goess, all MKIV suspensions are the same. Golf, Jetta, and Beetle all have interchangeble shocks, struts, and springs.
