Default DRL mod delimea

I did The mod to cancel the DRL's. Now when the car is running with the key on the buzzer emits the solid warning tone.

I taped up TFL as prescribed in the "how to section". Maybe I need to tape the relay instead?

No worries Grover.

So far I think it worked, I just can't remember if the warning tone (door open) was with or without the car car running?!?!?

If it is still there you may need to do the relay mod and put the piece of tape between the contacts.

B Pin also works on 1998 cars.

Try that, don't mess with the relay.

At O dark thirty this morning I get under way to work and noticed the illumination on the switch (the knob not the outer ring) was lit. And the light were not turned on yet.....

So If I tape the relay do I still keep the tape on the switch?

And it is the "B" pin on the relay right?

No its the B pin on the switch plug. I think it is about 3 over from the TFL pin. I never touched the relay at all on mine. Just try removing the tape from the TFL and move it to the B and see what happens. From what I have read, the relay is bitch to pull and put in...

PS- I think my switch is illuminated (outer ring) when the lights are off too but I think my original switch did the same thing. I know my fog indicators turn green when I turn them on too.

So swap the tape from TFL to "B"? I'll check that out tonite.

On my switch though, it's the inner part of the switch that is on. not the outer, with the car started, lights off.

Yep-correct on the pin switch....
It could be the inner part of the switch on mine too. I just know that part of it is always lit. I'll try and pay more attention tonight when I go out.
