Angry Limp mode on my 99 beetle after replace #2 solenoid valve

Hello there,
Can someone help me how to fig out what should I do a fix for my car. It's in limp mode, scanned with vag com that shown code 00260 transmission solenoid valve 2 open circuit
code 16806 Main catalyst:Bank1: Effeciency Below threshold
code 00671 cruise control switch- Implausible signal-Intermittent.
code 00955- Key 1 Adaptation Limit Surpassed.
(My caltalyst converter is "knocking" sound in idle).
So, I brought my car to a transmission shop to replace solenoid #2 and change new trans fruid, clear the code. But no luck, my white bug is still in limp mode (no overdirve, only 3rd gear). Next day in the morining, started the car driving to work, no more limp mode axist, my trans can shift to overdirve like normal, but only about 3 miles I lost my gear ( look like my car shift to Neutral gear) while driving, I was try to shift down to 3rd shift, check engine was flash in a second then I got limp mode again.
So, I could you guys please help me what should I do for this problem. many Thanks.

Never mind, I fixed already.VW dealers are the real stealer. After they replaced my cat, they charged me for $950 but car still in limb mode, then they want to charge me $2600 for Tcm and valve body replacement. Finaly, I found solenoid VE2 is out of spec (over 120 ohms), replace a new one, now car shift like a charm. By the way, I found a very helpful software for VW part cataloge link, downloa them join them then burn to DVD.

Default P1778

My beetle has P1778 EV7 Solenoid Malfunction problem. It doesn't shift overdrive. It goes reverse, 1,2,3 no problem but not overdrive. I changed the EV7 aka N94 solenoid, new filter, new transmission fluid etc etc. Still no luck! What did you exactly do? I downloaded the program but i still didn't understand what you changed to make it work?
