Anyone have or know the part numbers for either

A) the magnets that control the tiptronic switch

-or-

B) the whole tiptronic shift assembly

I'd like the latter part number more, because that is proving difficult to find.

I've found some info on the vortex about the magnets, but not everything I want. I'd really like to know the part number for the whole assembly, and even a cost if someone knows it...

Thanks in advance!

Oddly enough, I was moseying around on Ebay, not really looking for anything in particular and I found this....
2005 VW New Beetle Tiptronic Switch NEW : eBay Motors (item 200455879928 end time Apr-28-10 14:37:07 PDT)
It's for a 2005, so I'm not 100 percent sure it will work, and I am not sure if it's a good price, but none the less, just trying to help. Part number included in the listing.

CLOSE! I called the dealer about this part, and they claim that:

A.) The part with the magnets is a separate piece below this one

B.) There was a split in model year '04-'05

I've got to go back down there next week to continue my window regulator saga, so I'm gonna go talk to the parts guy in person and see what he has to say.

Glad that you have closed the deal in having your Transmission Assembly or in your case, the Tiptronic Switch Assembly well in placed and in tact for your vehicle. Hope that all is well with you as you continue to enjoy your vehicle.

Yeah, the split between the 2.0 having a 6speed and and 4speed automatic. But you have a vert and got the 6speed auto back in 2003!!

Default Tiptronic switch

I just replaced one in my 2003 Beetle. The part number is
1C0-713-203-C-08H. Originaslly, I was told that the part number above was 203-A-08H and that the cost of the part was around $200.00 list. When I began to look for the part, I was told that the part number with the A in it was superceeded with the part number with the C in it and as a result, the list price increased to $337.00. However, the only good part of this story is that the transmission was not shifting and acting very eradic prior to installing the part. Once installed, the trans began to function better.
