5th gear mod?
has anyone ever used the fifth gear mod?
the link below says its for a tdi, but also says its good for any vw manual transmission from 96 to present. anyone know anything about it? could it be used in a 99 nb 2.0? check it out... Bora Parts

The 2.0L does not have the low end torque necessary to make this work well for you. You may consider getting the stock 5th(.75) from a TDI owner who does this mod if you drive lots of freeway at higher speeds--still probably a bit of a stretch.
