I have a 03 1.8T with 5 speed manual with 93K and 40K on the clutch. When cold it shifts fine but when after it is up to running temp it has problems, going into 2 nd is the worst but all the gears are trouble. Double clutching helps. Is this a sign the master cylinder needs to be replaced or is it time to change the fluid?

It could be a combination of things, but I wouldn't think the clutch is the issue. I suspect the syncro's may be wearing out and are probably making it difficult to get into gear, but I would start off with a fluid change to see if things get better. A fluid change is much less expensive than replacing the syncros.
