Auto trans or not?
Hi. I'm looking to buy an older New Beetle like a 2000-2003 with likely 80-100k miles on it. Should I avoid an automatic transmission due to reported problems with them? Thank you, George

My beetle is automatic and i baby it and let me tell you it has a mind of it's own when driving locally, especially going up hills, i replaced fluid and still acts up, thats all i can say about automatic's

The autos suck, buy a manual.
