I'm looking at purchasing a automatic 2002 Silver NB with... 130,000 miles on it!

It drives great (like verrry smooth, better than the other 4 NBs I test-drove), seems to have been well taken care of, no major repairs done on the carfax...
I took it in today to get inspected, and the only 'major' thing that popped up was this (taken word for word from the sheet, because I don't know much about engines and that sort of stuff

):
"Sporadic Transmission Fault - Torque Converter Lockup". Now the mechanic was telling me that this
intermittent error could be 'cleared' and might just be a faulty 'speed sensor,' I think? Or that it could mean problems for the transmission... really he just said, "You could drive for thousands of miles and have no problem... or the transmission could go out in two weeks, I don't know"... it was really strange, basically it sounded like he really didn't know whether it was serious or not?
I wondered if anyone else had seen this 'error' before and might be able to shed a little more light? Is it really as ambiguous as he was leading me to believe, or does this either A) Not really mean anything or B) Mean the transmission will have to be replaced soon?! Or something else?

...I don't want to buy a car and then have to spend the same amount buying a new transmission for it xp The fact that it's 'sporadic' has me really wondering whether I should really be too worried... I don't know!
