5 Speed car. What is in the 6th gear spot??
So while at a stop light I found that there is a gear where a 6th gear would be and it struggles like 5th when going 35 mph? I'm a little scared to try it, anybody know? It is distinctly different from the 4th gear spot. Any ideas??

Having driven several 6-speed cars I can tell you from experience from the few times I have tried to grab 6th in my 5-speed cars. The answer is 4th, and it scares the crap out of me every time.
