Default Anyone checked with AAMCO?

Its so hard to get anyone to work on a NB transmission
Has any one tried AAMCO or recomend a place in particular? We all know the dealer is the last place and the only one to Preach "Lifetime fluid, dont touch it! Drive untill it breaks down" Im surprised how little action this section of the forum has. Trust me it wont be nice once that tranny breaks down and then have to shell out $6,000.00 for a new one (might as well get a new car). I really want to do the fluid change my self, but time and the appartment building wont allow it. Any good Places?

The dealer is not a bad place to go for some services, but AAMCO is the last place I'd ever go!! Come to think of it, there were 2 or 3 AAMCO shops in the area and I don't think any are left. They did such shoddy work that they all went out of business. They also got into legal trouble concerning their work back in the 1980's, facts of which I can't recall now.

I dont trust the dealer, all they want is your $5,000.00 for a new tranny and if you do get the $450.00 fluid change its too expensive. I did some local search and found prices ranging from $169-$300 Max, but ill keep looking since AAMCO is kind of shaggy. Thanks for the advice i was going to go there for the 169.00 price, but now i might change course...
