If the dealer doesnt have the injector o-rings, try international auto parts on Main near James rd. they should.[/QUOTE]

i almost did call you , but i figured with the sick kid and it was later , i figured id let you have some home time ,
yeah ill hit the international up in westerville , they usally treat me good on prices ,and im always in there , so hoe fully they have them , i figure byers will try to sell me the whole injector instead of the o-ring lol
worked on him today , got everything but the axles bolted back up , so i'll hit thos later tonite and drop him on the ground tonite hopefully
speaking of dropping things ,, one should not drop a tranny on ones knee ,, trust me it hurts

and after spending a good 30 minutes checking and rechecking hose's ,fittings etc , i cranked it over a few time to make sure it was all moving good , so far sounded good ,
then all stupid hit , i fired it up ,, had the normal lifter tick , not bad for a engine that set ofr about 3 or 4 years
seemed to have a slight miss , then the oil light came on and started beeping ,, i shut it down and went around front and there was a puddle of oil on the floor ,, ahh jerry ,,,,did you remember to put an oil filter on it ,,ahhhh no .. so off to the parts store to a get oil and a filter ,,came home drained the rest out and put a new fram on him and put oil back in ,,
now the bad news .... started him back up ,,and now its knocking,, shows a #1 and #2 cylinder knock sensor fault ,,
holds oil pressure , still has a miss , knock comes and goes with rpm changeand so does the miss so i need to check the spark plug wires make sure all is ok and not crossed up , since the previous owner put new wires on in his search for the problem before he sold it off (hint he should of checked the oil pan for debris )

now the question ,,to ebay or not to ebay ?

Not To Ebay

We Can Fix It...

Are you sure you hooked up all of the connections in the front.. there were a ton of them behind the air pump

Jerry are you saying you spun a rod bearing on The new motor by running it with no filter?

guess its time to hit up ERS (Engine Rebuilders Supply, on the south side of COlumbus,Near Cooper stadium) for some new bearings eh?

We can DO IT!!!

I don't know much, but I did learn "Intake, combustion, power and exhaust". I think a piston is in that equation?

Is that the old engine? And, is there any sign of where the piston went? Can it just disappear? Or did it disintegrate?

Well, no wonder the engine died!

I, too, hope that Eeyores heart comes back to life.

eeyores engine is starting to come back to life , ive run it everyday this week , and the noises he was making are all gone , so im guessing the lifters were dried out and possibly making all the racket , his nose goes back on later today (after some sleep after just doing 9 hours at honda), and i tack down why hs fans arnt working , otherwise he gets road tested today or monday
buckwheat wants to roll !

and the piston picture is in post #23 here ,, ive never seen one destroyed like this ,of all the race cars ive been around and all the vws ive torn down ,never ever seen this done this bad ,,
