Well, I'm glad we arrived in time to see everyone cruising out of town. It was an awesome parade of New Beetles!!! And thanks to those who honked and waved.

We had lunch in the parking lot, toured the museum and bought some Route 66 Root Beer for the cooler. Our first of many bottles between Pontiac and CA I'm sure.

Glad to hear everyone had fun and a safe drive home.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Thumbs up IL GTG? maybe just maybe?

It doesn't seem possible that the GTG in Pontiac is already history! I don't know when I had such a great time -- it was fantastic meeting everyone.

I agree with those who have mentioned that it would be nice to have another GTG later in the summer or sometime in the fall. It was too hot today to work on my RV project, so I did a little brainstorming and came up with the list found below that contains some possible ideas for a late summer early fall GTG.

I focused on places where I have lived, or visited over the years.

Holy crap Kevin!

I LOVE Niabi Zoo. Very cool little zoo and would be a great place for a GTG. Galena is really cool, too. Also been to the museum in Dubuque and it's great as well.

Kevin, you know some good spots! :googjob:

I had such a great time and I would have liked to talk to people more. I'd love to do a fall event if it works for everyone. I'll even plan it (assuming no one else really wants to do it). Let's all keep in touch!

I vote for the zoo in the afternoon, then a group drive to a drive-in for a movie.

Any time except the first week of August. I'll be in Austin, Tx. for that week.

Yea let's do this again. Let's do a different location,Have it more organized as to what we eat,do and activities. The last one was great but I think we all just kinda winged it on what we should have done. And to be honest with yall.........It did not last very long. Let's put our heads together and come up with a bigger and better GTG.............Any ideas? I think Niabi Zoo in "Coal Valley,Illinois" would be cool....everyone likes the zoo We could leave the zoo and do a cruise to this place called Sluggers pizza and eat inside where it's cool then do another cruise to one of the local parks for a photo shoot. How does the end of July sound?

I'm up for just about anything. Should we start another thread? Maybe catch some new peeps or people not aware of this one?

I'm flexible and willing to travel anywhere between 2-3 hours.
