Thumbs up Chicago Area "Mystery Cruise" - Sat. April 12th

April 12, Saturday

Spring Mystery Cruise - Get Your VW's Out Of Storage/The Garage!!!

Departure: 11:00 AM Sharp!!!

Time to get your vintage (or not-so-vintage) VW's out of winter storage, give 'em a bath and join us for NIVA's Spring "Mystery Cruise." It's a mystery because we're not going to let you know what our destination will be. It is very cool & historic, transportation-related and we will be eating there. Make sure your gas tank is full and bring along some cash (or your credit card) for lunch. Please bring FRS radios and a cell phone if you have them.

Our starting point will again be Fox Valley VW in West Chicago. The address is 560 W. North Ave, which is just west of Rt. 59. We'll assemble in the rear drive of the property between the dealership and the Menard's. Please be there by 10:30 as we'll be holding a brief driver's meeting at 10:45. We'll tour the Fox River Valley and drive time should be about 1.5 hours. This is a "rain-or-shine" event, but keep your fingers crossed for warm sunny weather. Remember: all VW's are welcome!!!

Please contact us if you have any questions or need directions to Fox Valley VW.

Hope to see you on April 12th!!!

Thumbs up

Here's a pic of the VW's in attendance. I'll post people pics later. We ended up at Walter Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora for an excellent lunch. Unfortunately the weather was crummy. Turnout was good nonetheless and we met fellow .orger Tim and his daughter Cecilia(sp?).
