Cool Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids area??

Anyone else from around there? My husband and I try to do monthly GTG's with another board that's for general VW's... would be kinda cool to either get one started for this forum, or maybe combine them both... and have one big GTG.

Anyone interested?

Hey, I'm in. Trying to get the Michiana area thing going, got a few people interested, but i guess theres a big old fort one down in fort wayne, IN. I'd be in, depending on the date. Like i said in the other post, i work on saturdays at the speedway, so i couldn't make it then until it's after racing season. But, Let me know!

Sounds like fun but most square vw drivers don't like our cars for some odd reason. Like theirs are better or something.

Ft. Wayne is 4 hours away from me... so it would take some planning to be able to make it to that one. Mostly, to make sure I have the $$ for gas to go down there, and probably somewhere to stay cause I'm lazy and wouldn't want to drive 8 hours in one day. LOL

Thats cause our cars are better......

JK we have one beetle in the group already...make that two now.
I/we have been slacking a little on the Gtgs here the last couple of month for various reasons. But it would be cool to get them back going. even if I was the only "square" Dub there.

My "square" Dub fo kicks

Depending on notice, I could probably convince the hubby to head over to the west side or to meet in the middle somewhere...

I think you are like the 2nd person here I've seen who lives in Gobles. Small town, small world I guess. My sister-in-law lives out there with her husband and their 3 kids. My wife and I were out there in May for a visit.

Didnt take the Bug because it was in the middle of some engine work, probably a good thing because we hit a deer at 10:30 PM up around Big Rapids on the way out there. That was a long drive from that point on. Luckily our minivan made the rest of the trip without issue.

Nice area out there...more rednecks than I'm used to though.

Yes... a very redneck area.

Second person from Gobles, besides me and Wilky? That's my husband.
Glad the minivan made the rest of the trip ok... and glad it wasn't the bug

Posting here as well... in case nobody's paid attention to the "West Michigan get together" or whatever it's titled... post. ROFLMAO

We were originally trying to make a meetup for Crusiers in Portage... but since so far only one person had replied from this forum... changed it to mine and Wilkys house for a cookout. Burgers and corn on the cob and his special potatoes, oh my! *hungry now* We live in Gobles, about 20 minutes west of Kalamazoo.

What say you?? PM me or Wilky if you want to come, and will be needing directions.

Sorry The date should have said the 31st not the 14th. Apparently I can't type when I'm tired. Sorry to hear you can't make it but your welcome to stop by on Monday if you want.
