I've put a little thought into lunchy places. Here's some options along with pros/cons for each:

1. BD's Mongolian Barbecue http://www.gomongo.com/ - all-you-can-eat stir-fry place. Pros: In a GREAT location (Coventry Road, right up from Big Fun http://www.bigfunbigfun.com/), lots of parking, lots of tables (could easily fit a large group). Cons: about 30 mins from the house, loud, metered parking.

2. Great Lakes Brewery http://www.greatlakesbrewing.com/foodBrewpub.php Pros: delicious beer, very good food, delicious beer, close to the house, delicious beer. Cons: I have no idea what parking is like there (probably paid lot), could be a little pricey ($11.00/pizza, $9 - $12 for sandwiches), would probably need to make a reservation for a large group.

3. West Side Market http://www.westsidemarket.org/ Pros: Also near the house, very neat piece of local history, TONS of vendor stalls to choose from, low-low-low prices, do some shopping (for food - might I recommend Ohio City Pasta?). Cons: no place really to sit at all, parking can be very tight on Saturdays, public market (not a restaurant; public restrooms). Overall: Probably not a good idea, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

4. "Other" Ohio City restaurant: http://www.ohiocity.com/index.cgi?id=131&l=2&p=3726 Here's a comprehensive list of restaurants in the area. While some have mentioned that the area isn't that good, it truly depends on where you go and perception. While the Ohio City/Tremont area is not a suburb (totally urban areas) they are quite safe, but a little rough around the edges.

5. Tower City - http://www.towercitycenter.com/ This would actually be a great continuation of the Christmas Story Tour. We could walk around Public Square (where the parade scene was filmed), see Higbee's front window (where Ralphie saw the RR BB gun with all the animated toys), and be right next to the old Higbee's department store (where the infamous 'slide' scene was filmed with Santa). Tower City has underground paid parking, stores, and a food court. It is in downtown Cleveland and is very close to the house. The cons for this are: it is a 'declining' mall. I have no idea if all the stores listed on the site above are still open. VERY diverse crowd, but VERY safe. Oh yeah: it has a really cool dancing fountain display set to music.

Thinking more about this, Tower City is probably a great location (we could lunch at The Hard Rock Cafe!) for our group. Good location, ample parking, close the house, shopping (for those that don't want to scoot off right away), close to all freeways (for those that do), and of course, more Christmas Story Cleveland highlights!

That gets my vote. Any idea of where we should meet up before the tour?

And, if John doesn't do the timing belt on the 21st...how about a tranny service for Felix? (And perhaps a laundry list of what else he needs done?)(Send me a link for the bolts too, those are missing from box)

Two more classes tomorrow and I'm done with grad school classes See you guys this weekend! Trans service would be nice, main other thing is busted exhaust bracket that could use welding

Good question. We could.

Still don't know where we're meeting up though in Cleveland.

I'm going to be gone tomorrow during the day. Won't be back online till about 5:00ish.

So hopefully someone will chime in before then on where to meet? If not, I guess we just meet at the house around 12:00?

What direction are you guys coming from? We could meet up in Cranberry and get on the turnpike from there?

Maybe 9:30 ish?

Coming from the good ol' 21502...my closest turnpike exit is Somerset...my cell is on my facebook, I work 3 pm to around 1:30 am on Fridays, no computer access at work.

Just a warning for everyone taveling tomorrow. Weather forecast shows 'PM snow showers' starting around noon.

Pete, as I mentioned earlier, Karen and I will be up earlier in the day 10ish, so that we can get back home at a decent time. In otherwords, we will be there but will probably miss seeing everyone.

Well, I'm out for tomorrow.

Came down with something. Was up sick all night. Have a fever, and have been sleeping all day. Missed a trip to the outlets today.
