this is the 20th anniversery of the show , id like to see a big showing of new beetles , back in 99 and 2000 it wasnt unusual to see 20 or 25 new beetles there , in the past few years ,we are lucky to have 5 to 8 new beetles , so please spread the woord and we'd love to have some of you out of towners come on over to ohio to visit

im thinking of having a cook out afterwards for the new beetles in attendance

let me know what ya think of something like that and drop me a note if your coming , the more the merrier

me too! maybe we should just scrap the old dull ohio nb group and have a new ohio "body-kitted from or as a nb group"

If we are going to go that route... my RX-7 has a Wankle rotary engine, the Wankle rotary engine was developed by NSU. NSU is owned by VW... therefore, my RX-7 is a VW and should be allowed to show at Volksfest.

Started the restoration work on Otto. pretty darn sure we are going. Spent 3 hours on one wheel... last time I buy chrome rims... never never never never again.

im gonna roll in early probably around 7 , clean the cars then im setting up to sell off my toys in the swap area, kathy is volunteering sometime , but we will all be there ,me her and all the boys ,,buckwheats first volksfest (even if he only see's it from the swap area

The next time I drive down to Columbus it's going to be to have Aaron do some maintenance for me.. I don't think I can afford to both get the car fixed AND show it off.

Still coming, but trailering the bug was going to be mucho $$$ for our RV trip to Cedar Point next week.

Sooo, i'll be at the show, but i'll be driving a rental of some sort (Budget doesn't have any NB's left in their Cleveland fleet.. ..)

Hoping that Aaron, Bill, Dave, Tom, Jay and the rest of the "old-timers" will still be able to make it out for this show.

I'm up for a cook-out, just let me know if I can bring anything to help out.
