1)What time Friday you are you leaving?......my Street Atlas is showing a 4-1/2hr drive from my house to get there.

2)Are you staying in a hotel or camping?

This is an air-cooled show but many NBs show up, anyway. It's a lot of fun, and I may try to make it, despite going to a show in Minneapolis the next day! If you want a motel room, book it now, because more than 1000 people will be there! (Camping is available on the showgrounds, but there are no showers.....)

what show is in minneapolis the day after this?? I know eurowerks in the end of june in minneapolis.

The Minnesota Bug-In, held at Luther's VW in St.Loius Park. It's put on by the Twin Cities VW club. It's mostly air-cooled, but all VWs are welcome.

Basically, when I do both shows, I arrive in Effingham Friday evening after an 8-hour drive. I go to the show on Saturday and stay until 3:00 or 4:00, then drive back to Eau Claire, WI. I get back around midnight or 1:00 AM. Then I get up and am on the road by 7:00 AM for the hour and a half drive to Minneapolis Sunday! By Sunday night, I'm pretty fried.

Looks like fun, I have been wanting to attend another GTG since Berea last year. And yes it would be cool if we could all hook up and represent the org.

im thinking of leaving columbus around noon or so , you could meet us up in dayton at 70 and 75

If we go, it would be in one of our air cooled dubs. Although air cooled bugs are way cool, it's a lot more pleasurable to drive in a NB lol (not to mention safer)

I've reluctantly decided to skip Effingham this year. With Roswell coming a few days later, and the price of gas, I had to choose between one or the other. I'll probably be there again in '12, though.
