First of all, I hope I didn't come off as being anti-tattoo. I was rather sort of stereotyping water-cooled VW people, most of which are well under 30. Hell, I wish I was that young again (sometimes).

Anyway, back to the CAS. I need to know which weekend very soon, because my workplace generally requires a full month's notice for vacation requests. Also, If the Packers return to the Super Bowl, my wife is planning on going to the game, regardless of the price. If that falls on one of the weekends of the CAS, I'd have to go on whichever weekend the Super Bowl isn't on so I could stay home with our daughter. (I'm 52, but my only child is all of 15.) Late start in fatherhood.......

The Superbowl is on February 5th and the Chicago Autoshow doesn't start until February 10th so you are safe in that regard. First weekend of CAS will be 2/11-2/12 and the last weekend 2/18 Saturday or very last day 2/19.
I can go either weekend but if we do the last weekend I don't want to do Sunday because they are probably anxious and pack up early.

Maybe we should start a New Thread and take a poll?

I put up a Chicago Autoshow Thread in the Midwest Section. Everyone take a look and vote on which day you would like to attend. We can even have a couple of GTG's if some prefer one weekend over the other. As long as some of us can hook up and have a fun day.

time to kick this thread in the butt again. I am proposing at gtg at the wisconsin automotive museum in hartford, wi sometime. no big rush as I am super short on greenbacks right now due to my new job not paying me for crap and owing a bit of money. but hey, I am REALLY close to getting a second job at the local advance auto (helps to be a regular and a friend of one of the managers.)

here is a link to the museum website.

I also have some fairly sad news to announce to everyone here....I am looking at selling my beetle, I already have a prospective buyer at $1000. I just think it is time to move on to another vw after the amount of money I have stuck into this one. I will most likely be getting a fresh start with a very well maintained 1991 jetta for $1500.

He was thinking he was going to sell the nB, but he can't do it.

I'm busy too as usual. Just got my review. Yippee. I get a 2.7%raise for a month.

I don't have alot of info on it besides it is a standard 1.8l engine with a 5 speed and needs a new headgasket and exhaust. he is going to fix that stuff but it is #3 on his to sell priority list so.

how much for the trans, I do kinda want a new one. I'd show ya the tranny I want but the bahnbrenner website isnt working correctly.

not bahnbrenner, eurospec. this is the gear ratio's I want. ( the first one on the page.)
http://eurospecsport.com/products/tr...ing-chart.html

tranny itself.
