I don't know if they are all airheads but there are VW clubs in Syracuse and Watertown. Even if they are all air cooled they might know if there are NB clubs around.

VWCCNY = VW Club of Central New York. Is the one that comes to mind right away. Not sure what cars the members have, but that is a start. Contact them and they can steer you in the right direction.

If there are, I haven't found them. The only active group I ever see are the Subarus - they show up to the CNY autox events to watch and hang out and grill hotdogs and stuff. I think it would be cute if a while bunch of beetles showed up instead.
