And yes, the car is coming with me...I hope. So, with that said it'd be nice to meet some of people out here. I'm actually moving to West Chester area/Del. County. I got a job at another upholstery shop in Edgemont (Accurate Auto Tops), so I'll be able to do any side work to those who need it in the area. I could use the rent money Anyways, should be out there in a few weeks, and hope to see some of you in the future.

Wow, great timing. Check out this thread: http://www.newbeetle.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26750.

Should be a great event, and a good place to sample the philly VDub scene.

Post-up if your interested, as Josh and I are trying to get a head-count. If we can confirm enough pods, we may be able to have an area just for our bugs.

No promises yet, have to see the interest first.

So, welcome back and hope to see you on the 30th.

Thanks, yeah the 30th might be a little tight. I saw that post and wondered if I could make it, but I don't think I'd get out there until atleast that date, then I have to unpack, set up utility appointments, etc. Plus the car is getting shipped out, so who knows when that'll arrive. Count me in though for plenty of events this spring/summer!

Welcome to my neighborhood!!! I live in Del. County and work in West Chester. You'll actually be working for the company that redid my VW Cabrio top a few years back (before I got my Lady).

that's cool...small world huh. Yeah it looks like I'm moving to Del. County also, found a place in Drexel Hill. It will be nice to be home again, where I belong...can't believe I left that place! Seattle is great for three months, after that...well obviously- you couldn't pay me to live there. I guess I'm an east coaster for life.

I'm in Aston with a cousin in Drexel Hill, so if you ever want to meet up and cruise or work on the cars PM me or something - I'll probably never leave this area

Hello! Where in Jersey are ya?
Looks like the car is getting shipped end of March. So if anyone sees it on the back of a trailer, with WA plates on it, stay away from my wheels, lol! I have this bad feeling the driver will curb them, then I might have to do some damage in return.

ok, I've been out that way. Oh yeah, if anyone has any furniture they wanna get rid of, let me know. I'm basically coming out there with car, clothes, computer, tools, and golf clubs (I hope). So yeah, I need couches/recliners, tables, chairs, lamps, desks, etc. I'll pick up, or pay you to deliver.

I hear ya, basically gonna go on a shopping spree in Ikea, Craigslist, the Dollar store, and thrift stores. With warmer weather approaching, will be checking out some garage sales too.

Hey Josh, still live in East Falls area? I'd definitely be up for a gtg somewhere in the area. My buddy works at a bar in Media (Picasso..i think), so that's an option. Never been there, but I plan on checking it out. Just need some time to get the place together and such before I can do anything.

I actually live more towards the northeast suburbs in Levittown. My brother moved into my apt in East Falls. Since I work in Drexel Hill though I am always in the area.

Ikea is great! We've bought a lot of stuff from there.. computer desks, coffee table and side tables. And I'm going to be buying our bed from there too..

Nothing is wrong with Ikea.. If you're on a budget, it's the best place to go.

I bought this gorgeous Eiffel tower picture from there, it's about 77" wide and 55" tall, I love it! Here it is.. But I have it turned sideways.

I love Ikea - just beware if you're putting the furniture in a basement - which tends to be more damp - the particle board that they use doesn't withstand the moisture and mold. I wrecked a bedroom set in under 2 years while I was living in a basement studio apartment...
