My next event will be Volksfest in Campbelltown, PA on Saturday, April 26. I'm hoping it will be a little bit warmer and a lot less windy than Spring Show n Go! Gates open at 8 am to show cars, and awards are scheduled to be presented at 3:30pm.

Who's showing? Who's going?

(No online registration available - pay at the gate - $12 to show $1 for adult spectators.)

Check out http://www.gti16v.com/campsho.htm#campsho for more details.

I should be going, not showing. The car is a little beat up from the haul out here, not to mention the clutch is shot, and the windshield has a huge crack in it. I polished/waxed it before I left...should have known better. But I think the plans are to go that day, but I'm not in control of those plans, so who knows.

Pretty good turnout for the New Beetles yesterday for this spectator judged event! And the weather held out for us!

Awards were given to first and second place in each category.

There were 5 cars in New Beetle stock and 3 in New Beetle modified.

Stock: 1st went to Turbo Turtle (sorry I didn't catch your name if you're on here) a Reflex Silver Turbo with plaid headliner
Lady took 2nd

Moodified: 1st went to Josh (Bugasm)
2nd went to Nate (N8Zvw)

Congrats to all! And good luck cleaning up after the show (New Beetle stock was right under a tree, and Lady's interior is full of buds!)

Attachment 43839 - Bugasm (1st place NB Modified)

Attachment 43840 - VW Lady Bug (2nd place NB Stock)

Attachment 43841 - N8Zvw (2nd place NB Modified)

it was cool to see some of these cars in person, didn't see anyone near their cars though. I could only stay for two hours or so, and most of that time was spent catching up with ol' friends. Wish I could of showed the car, but like I said its still a little beat up.

Sorry I missed you. The big thing I don't like about spectator judged shows is that you can't stay by your car and talk to people - you have to wander around and judge everyone else's car too. Did anyone else have a hard time following the organization at certain parts? LOL - I thought I was going nuts trying to figure out the alphabet!

Nice pictures I was also hoping to meet some of you. It is hard when you are away from your car judging. Congrats to everyone who won though and I hope to meet up at the next show.
