Pittsburgh - Quaker, Steak and Lube, June 27th

Figured it was time we start planning a QSL gtg in Pittsburgh.

Let's throw out some dates! I'm thinking sometime in June? I tend to prefer Saturday gtgs, but since this one will be close by for me, I'll have no problem if it's a Sunday either.

Saturdays are the only days I can go, I work all sundays and around the end of June would be much better! I have too much stuff happening at the beginning of June.

20th looks good. Though the weekend before is CarFest at BeaveRun, that might be cool to do it that weekend and caravan out to the race track?

I never EVER have plans but, as fate would have it, I'm booked on the 13th and 20th. DOH!

The 20th would be fine with me, but I would rather go with

the 27th. Getting a newbie (Smurfy Soupergirl) to her first GTG

seems like a cool thing to do.

I am going to be visiting my uncle on the 20th and probably going to flordia on the 27th ... If I dont go to flordia I can come the 27th but its not certain.


so I guess the month of June is just not good for me!

If the 27th doesn't work for QSL, thats ok...I can always meet some of you elsewhere. Ya'll are more than welcome to join me for one of my regular outings to the new Sonic in Greensburg (love Sonic in the 'vert!) and then over to the Norwin Hills classic car cruise on Sats. Right now it's just me in all my lonesome--but you're never really alone when you're in a NBC

I've got it on my calendar, but it's cutting it close with moving for me. We have to be out of the house by July 5th so that'll be during full blown packing mode. But it still may work.

Looks like we still haven't settled on a date. Still between the 20th and the 27th.

Seems like either date we pick, people can't make it.

I'd suggest we try and push it off till July so more people can come, but most of the month is bad for me. We could always push it back till August?

Thoughts?

Methinks there will ALWAYS be a date that people cant make it

We can still pick a date for QSL, but I was wondering if anyone wanted to start a regular GTG--that way if people can't make it, there's always the next one. For example, we could say "every Friday at 6pm, anyone who wants to get together for the Wexford Starlite Car Cruise meet at the parking lot of such and such"... (pick you poison for which car cruise--maybe a Sat one is better). That way anyone who wants to go can swing by on the way and see if anyone else shows and we can cruise over together. If you cant go, no biggie--as those of us who are going can just move on to the cruise and, hey, there's always next week! We could always use the forums as a touch base each week to see if anyone has solid plans on coming.

I'm on the Monroeville side of the City but can always travel if needed.

I want a regular GTG!
