DUBS at the BEACH

Is anyone going to O.C. Md for this event, or has anybody been. Just wondering aloud here, just putting it out there...anybody?

This show was brand new last year, brought to you by F-Squared, the folks who put on H2Oi each year; they moved the old Dubs on the Lake from Deep Creek, MD to Ocean City, MD.

It was a decent turn out last year, and looks to grow.

I gotta say, that there are hardly any NB's at the DATB. A crap load of jettas, a mess of GTI's but I did not see one Bug at the show yesterday. Since the main show is today I am hoping to see a few.. This could be a good thing as I entered my TS in a stock class and if no other NB's show up I may have a chance at winning....he he...We shall see.

I was gonnna go to the show today but I didnt feel like driving 4 hours and my friend wanted to go last night at 1am but I told him if I dont get some sleep I get grouchy so we decide to skip out. OCM is by far my favorite beach, I just dont like the long drive

The show was...ok. There were 210 registered cars which isn't too big, and 4 Beetles showed up. The only thing I didn't care for (and I think I made this painfully obvious ) is how the show dragged on in the afternoon. It could've easily wrapped up around 2 or 3 but it went on til 4 for whatever reason. So many people had left by that point and you could tell everyone was just ready to go.

Dana (VWLadyBug) and I did enter a contest to try and win some Polk audio, we had to lay with our legs and arms straight up for as long as possible - that **** was hard!! We didn't last til the end, some other cheater won

Yes, but remember Gina that we were the last women standing! And know that the guys were cheating from the start!

dubs on the beach is mini H2O. i thought about going, but H2O is one of my biggest trips of the year and i didn't want to ruin it, i want to keep it special.
