Yep that's me. I saw your car, but nobody was there, so I didn't say hello. I got pulled over because I let a friend drive it, and we got clocked at 58 in a 45, but everyone who saw us go by said we were going much faster. I wasn't paying attention, so I don't know. I feel like an ******* even though I wasn't driving. Only 90 bucks, and it won't go on my insurance because in Massachusetts, out-of-state tickets don't count. I don't know why.

As for the show, I'm really happy for Karn (although it's always nice to get 1st). It was his first show, and I won 1st at my first show. I'm glad that the car I lost to was very nice. I've been showing my Bug for seven seasons, and I'm getting really tired of spending 2 hours on the field prepping my car each time (especially when you're exhausted from partying too much the night before). I'd rather spend that time seeing other cars. Plus, I have literally piles of 1st place plaques and trophies, so I think it's time to slow down a bit and pass the torch on to a very worthy car. I will probably drive the Porsche next year and park with my club. Plus, the drive is so fun, it doesn't feel like 8 hours at all, and lemme tell you, driving the 911 is just as fun (but in a different way) as the Bug. Who knows, it's a year from now.

Kitty, I noticed that you're from CT. You'll have to attend the Litchfield Bug-In or the CT VW Association show to see my Bug in person so I can walk you through it. There are many things that you'd miss if you didn't know what to look for.

Evzbug, that is one sharp vert. Where did you get the Audi TT vent rings? I gotta have a set of those for my car.

I got them years ago at the local Audi dealership. They doubled in price for no explicable reason, as did the stupid little Porsche center caps...

I had a Concours Winning Porsche 911SC for years. This is us in the Winners Circle of the very Prestigious "Porsche Parade" when it was held in Lake Placid NY, where we took "First in Our Class":

Prepping the car for the show. This car really taught me what it means to be "Detailed Top & Bottom!":

Random Pic:

Don't get me wrong, it was a wonderful car. Quite beautiful. But after a while I just found it to be rather "generic". Not to mention, the RUF BUG can run Circles Around IT!

Thanks Bash. He's a music business / film aquaintence of mine. Not really a "star" in the true sense of the word, but you may have seen him here & there LOL!

He worked with me "detailing" the car. Was probably the only person who could put up with me!

I think however, the results, as well as the first place win, speak for themselves.

I got EVZ911 to match my vanity plate EVZBUG, but now I'm thinking of changing it to UBERVW just to piss off the Porsche owners who don't appreciate their VW ancestry. Hahahaha!
