UPDATED INFO...

Date:
Either March 8th or March 9th
Time: TBD
Location: TBD

I'd say it's about that time, friends.

This time around I think we need to do things a bit different. I believe a cruise is certainly called for. We had a mini cruise of sorts last time and it went over really well. I did a bit of searching and found a few sites with routes that we can choose from:

http://www.trails.com/toptrails.asp?area=13583
http://www.dot.state.ga.us/DOT/plan-...ys/index.shtml
http://www.byways.org/explore/states/GA/

Something else I'd like to do calls for someone to open their home to us. Everyone can bring some food, baked goods, a drink... that kinda deal. Just hang out. Share stories, pictures, videos. Stuff like that. Much cheaper and more intimate.

As for a time frame, I'd guess that mid-March would be a nice goal to shoot for.
Those are my ideas. I wanna hear yours!

Depending on what area the cruise goes through, I'm happy to offer up my house. I'm generally off the beaten path unless you're coming from north Georgia heading back to the city. The address says Acworth, but I'm just inside Cherokee, pretty easily accessible from I-75.

Oooo, I get a second chance!

Hmm.

All I request is a date in advance enough to take off work.
I like how you want to put a backyard picnic type twist on it; I'm totally down for that.

Same here.

I sent out PMs to all the locals I could think of.
Waiting for 'em to trickle in.

Well, unless something weird happens (like snow) you can always count Glen and I in.

Now, what's the date.

noR, Maybe you and Liz could make it to Bug-A-Paluza too??? You would love the show!!!

Woot-woot!!!! Yeah for an ATL GTG!!

We're down for something on the 8-9th or 29-30...the other weekends in March are occupied.

With our tiny townhouse in the opposite direction, I'm not sure we're a good choice to host either.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out so we can make this happen....it's been a while, and it'll be good to see folks again.

Sounds good! I don't work weekends anymore so I should be able to make it.

I'd love to do a mountain cruise... maybe around the Amicalola Falls area?

I can't make it, my sons birthday is the 6th and I only see him on the weekends now so we will be celebrating one of those days.

Dang, sorry about not keeping up.
Just started back at school and I've been studying my bum off.

I'll throw this out there: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3683564
Group of us are heading down Sunday morning. This would be a cool thing for us to do.

Or we could meet up Saturday. Have breakfast somewhere. Then drive north and find some good roads and take pictures along the way. Have a late lunch and call it a day.

It sounds fun to me, but I gotta know for sure what we are doing since I have a long ride in front of me. Im talking, an 8am meeting time requires me to wake up at like 5am to leave about 545 or so to make it at the designated time. I'd really like to show...

Edited:
And to add, if we decided to go to the silver dollar showdown, i refuse to drive north two hours to Atlanta to drive two hours south west to columbus. I think my hour and forty five minutes west will suffice. But please, lets get the details together.. i wanna see you guys!

We can always hang out the entire weekend at Bug-A-Paluza (Chattanooga, TN) in April!

Very true, Jai. I'll be there for sure.
And to anyone who wants to hang this Sunday, come down to Reynolds for the Silver Dollar show or, better yet, meet up at the Varsity and cruise down with us.
