Kissimmee FL- NB take over OLD TOWN!

Not sure how many people would be interested in this but here goes... Every Thursday and Saturday night here in Kissimmee the bikes and the fancy speed racers go to Old Town to show off their paint jobs and engine mods. Well how about the NB get together and give um something to look at! Anyone feel up to it? I have to plan a lil in advance being a single mom but I sure would love to show off my 1.8L Turbo! LOL!

That sounds pretty good. I'm up for it. We have a Tampa GTG thread- I'll post the info there too. A long line of New Beetles rolling up into Old Town would be sweet

yup. 15 members of my family are going to Disney that week.... Will probably be in Jax a couple of days before and after, as well.

I'm frighted\intrigued to find out whether my dad will do a repeat performance of his "pee wee herman 'tequila' dance marathon" in the Old Town general store again, 14 years later..

LOL! I would love to see that! I live 10 mins from Disney! I also used to work there. I now work for them as a contractor and I provide their IT support.

When you can, get us some definate dates and we'll do a Jacksonville welcome GTG for sure Maybe we can get pops to do that dance again

heh. well, probably a good thing it didn't get planned for last week when i was down. we were planning on driving Stella for our vacation so everyone could see her (only my mom and dad have, and that was before i started getting creative with her), but she broke a couple of hours before we were planning on leaving, so we had to take the Golf again. (and poor Golf broke on the way back from Orlando to Jacksonville, too... baaaad week for cars)

That's a bit too long of a commute for me, but I would love to drive the NB down there and dine at Charlies Steakhouse. I love Charlies

Everybody's all fixed now, thankfully.. Stella needed a new coolant flange, which i replaced, and when i was taking her to get a flush, the differential ate my transmission.. got a new one of those and a clutch, now. the Golf got a new serp belt and tensioner while we were in Jax, and then a new A/C Compressor and both fans when we got back to Charlotte. (compressor is what actyakkt kicked off the serp belt in the first place.)

Next time I know for sure will be at Christmas. (or Festivus, for the rest of us! ) ... Good chance I'll be spending a few weekends in November in Atlanta, but don't know that I'll get much further than that.
