*GA GTG Postponed*

I hate to say this but the GA GTG will have to be postponed. Due to low turnout I've decided to postpone it for another date. Maybe in September. Please, please, please, give me dates that work for you and I will try to find a time when everyone who wants to come CAN come. I was really looking forward to today (even spiffed the car up more than usual), but with today's rising gas costs I don't want people to make a trip to Athens unless there is atleast a handful of people.

So please, I will be sending PM's once again to everyone who lives in GA and surrounding areas to see what dates work best to plan another GTG. Post here with your dates or PM me. Thank you and I'm sorry for the late notice. I just got home from work and found out who really could and couldn't make it.

Wow michelle, i'm sorry for the low turnout. I feel the passion you have for getting together along with the dissapointment of the non-committals. I too feel the same way.

The thing that bums me Michelle is that, we post these thread way in advance, so that people can schedule accordingly. So you'd hope people commit with the preface that they've worked their schedules out, and know that they'll be there. Granted, life happens and uncontrollable circumstances come up, but outside of that, some will cancel out at the last moment. It's for those reasons Michelle, that I won't be posting our annual Dave & Busters GTG thread this year. I invited the president of the SouthEastVWClub to attend last year, and he did. But I was embarassed when he and some other new air-cooled bretheren showed up, and not many of the new beetle crowd, even the faithful. So this year, it'll be a casual gathering; whoever shows will be whoever shows and that will be it.

Don't give up Michelle. Schedules pan out and hopefully others will catch on. If I could, i'd be there. My sis-in-law lives in Lawrenceville, so if something comes up in the future, it'll be a good excuse to come up and the wife and I give her a visit

Hi, GTG's are the best thing a new org member can do, meeting other members makes the org even better.

I know that here in Ohio, attendance has suffered because of the gas prices. One in May 3 bugs, one in June 5 bugs.

Sept. '06 22 bugs from 7 states!

The small ones are cool though, you get to talk more one on one.
so keep trying. Remember any GTG is a good GTG!
