GTG in LOUISVILLE, KY

Hey all. Good news! We have finally got the date set for a Spring GTG in Louisville, KY. Jonk, and I are preparing it and everyone is invited to come down, up or over to be a part of it. Ther are plenty of good places to stay and If you are interested, I will be happy to get some names for you. We are meeting up on May 16th, in Louisville, on Hurstborne Ave near interstate 64 to get a carabug started to go to Corydon, IND, which is about 20 minutes away, to go to Happys annual picnic, it is an all day event, with plenty of cars, mostly aircooled but some water cooleds too. Jonk and I went last year and we had an awesome time. We will post some pics later from last year. After the picnic we will meet back at the place we started on Hurstborne for a nice dinner at El Toros resturant, it is just the best mexican resturant in Louisville, (well I love it!) After dinner, the plan is to go downtown Louisville to a park on the Ohio River for a great photo op. There are some great places for that. If you are planning to come, there are some great night spots, or if you bring your family, there are nice things to do too, if you want to stay an extra day. Louisville Slugger Muesum and Fraziers Arms muesum comes to mind. We would love to have a bunch of Org peeps to show up for this event!!!!!!

I'm new to the site and just noticed this....my wife and I may be cruising down from Georgetown in her '03 turbo bug. Sounds like a good time!

I was in Louisville most of this last week. It would be a perfect time for me to go back up. I have to double check with my SO but I may be able to make it!

Not yet, let me find the Happys invite and I will post it. I think we met to drive up aroung 9:00 am. Don't hold me to that til Happy posts it on his page. The site is Happysautoparts.com. Double Dangit! Jerry I was hoping to get to see you at this event. There is always the other one that is now in Shepherdsville. It is my second favorite one, usually in June. Up until Summer of 06, it was held at the dealership less than a mile from our house. Maybe then!

well good news ,, i found that the weekend before is the weekend for the kids graduation ,, so i should be able to make it down for this ,,keeping my fingers crossed

If you come, you could route through Georgetown and we could meet up then caravan to Louisville if you want.
