so would the plan to be to possibly have dinner at Casa de Scarab in Jacksonville on Friday night and then head down to St. Augustine later that night, and stay there Friday & Saturday nights?

just trying to figure out when I can squeeze in visit with the 'rents.... curse them and their splitsvilleness... makes visiting so inconvenient. maybe i should just not tell them I'll be in town.

That would be cool, but I in no way intend to change the group's dinner plans. Actually we didn't feel all that comfortable in sleepy little BC either. D & I are abit off when it comes to the pets.

I'm looking forward to this GTG btw. Are we leaning toward a date for it yet? I think most have said Sept 12th weekend. I'm so glad to be living in the SE now. Lots of cool people, lots of cool places...how nice!
We're looking forward to it too. Just let me know where you folks will be jumping on 95 and we'll meet you just off the next exit heading south.

That would be the plan Tabs!

Got the approval from the boss lady and we'll be chowing down at Casa De scarab / the Waldorf AL-storia

So gang, I can do fin and feather (fish fry and chicken wings) with fixins or

Surf and turf (fish / steak / burgers)with fixins.

The fish will be fried in peanut oil. are you guys peanut friendly? If not, I can change it up.

I'm leaning towards Surf and Turf. I'll be off that day, so I'll have din din ready as you all arrive. Just give me a heads up as the day approaches, so I'll know when to expect you all. My home is your home, so if you all come early, no worries, you can take your shoes off and chill a while. Maybe, and this is MAYBE... I might break out my keyboard and finish what i started in Roswell

Sweet! Sounds like a plan. So glad we got the date settled. Makes it easier for Matt and I to put in the days when it's this far in advance!! Whoohoo!!! How exciting. I like the surf and turf idea as well. More well rounded options I think. (I'm peanut friendly...I'm kinda a nut so I have to be haha)

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!! Is it September yet????

Not determined yet. I believe some might be leaving at first light. I'll need the peeps to chime in on breakfast and what we're doing afterwards. I'd be up for just chillin on the beach for a while and reflect on a great weekend, give our bugs a quick wash and roll out. I'm sure the peeps will chime in soon, so you can plan accordingly

I don't think we plan to roll out first thing. We'll probably hang for a bit. I mean, it's only like what 6 hours to get home. We don't have to leave right away! So we're up for breakfast I think. I'll talk to Matt to be sure!

Gary, Looks like we'll be meeting up with you guys around the Savannah area of 95. Probably will take us about 4 1/2 hours or so to get there, depending on traffic. Looks like we'll be taking 75 to 16 to get to 95. Let's find a place to meet near 95 if we can and a time. Do you guys plan to leave first thing in the AM on Friday? I'm gonna take that day off and I hope Matt will too.

Only 6 weeks away!!!

Well 'D', it looks like there will be at least 2 beetles with owners to meet you on Sunday.

That should be a good time to get there. I think we could meet somewhere on 95. I don't want to leave TOO early. It'll be my one opportunity to sleep in. Plus...Matt has a hard time...leaving on time, so if I tell him we leave at 10am, we'll be out by noon.

And don't be surprised if we have every tool known to man in the car...plus an air pump, plus a drill, plus all kinds of crazy things that I try to convince him we don't really need, but he likes to be EXTRA prepared. I think that's why it takes so long to get going. He has to check and triple check to make sure we have everything before we go. And I have to laugh because when he packs clothes, he packs clothes like we're going to Michigan. Bring pants, shorts, long sleeve, short sleeve, jackets, hats, sweaters, sandles, tennis shoes, etc etc... He did that for the ToD. I'm like, seriously?! It's North Carolina...it's not Alaska!! UGH! lol Me, I had shorts, tank tops and short sleeved shirts with A sweater or some kind of cover if I got cold. And I think I only brought my flip flops haha. I just needed an extra bag for makeup, hair supplies, straightner, etc. lol

So if you want, you, me and Gary can set a time to meet somewhere on 95. Anyone else coming? I haven't heard from Sully, does anyone know if Jack and Niki are coming? What about anyone else...I'm drawing a blank of who all is near by....

Michelle.....Well set a time as the date gets closer. Not sure how much of Friday Denise will take off. If she takes the whole day we may head out 10ish and that would put us in Savannah around 1:30 and that might not work with either your or HP's timeframe. Again, we'll know more as the date approaches. As for a meeting spot, it'll probably be just off the 1st exit south on I95 from where you jump on. I'll look at a map for the exit number.

Al, we're p-nut friendly But no need to go overboard. If there's anything you want me to bring, drop me a PM. I may bring down a some choice Belgian Ales, if that's allowed.

Also bear in mind that mid september will have sunset around 6:30 I imagine. Need a good nB beach pic for the ToD name tags
