I'm not, BUT I along with some orgers in Georgia and North Carolina meet up quite a bit for GtG's- we're cornering the market on the Southeast new beetle GtG scene. Please don't be a stranger. Sticking around will most certanily get you hooked up with us beetle people.

Not Sumter, we're in Aiken. The number of SC Orgers has seemed to have grown in the last few months. AprilM of Chesnee, Supercharged98 from Foutain Inn just to name a couple. I wouldn't mind getting together a South Carolina Meet N Eat. Possibly the Mellow Mushroom in Columbia. Or what would be a longer drive for the upstate folks, to Sweatman's BBQ in Holly Hill, SC. I've done a Meet N Eat there before and the BBQ is award winning. Quite reasonable $$$ wise and an unpretentious setting.

But Like Al said, we are an active group that like to get together often. As I posted in yout intro thread, we're a family friendly bunch.

Our little round cars are addictive. I don't know if it's from all the endorphins created by constant smiling

I'll reply with our cell #'s as well. If anything comes about for a meet n eat or small GTG, I'll be sure to let you folks know.

Now go out and have some fun in smurfette

Hey Gary, how about something in the east Columbia area? That way, everyone could jump on a interstate and be there in about an hour drive. I would be game on something like that. And, if you make it at a good BBQ house, I betcha Janie would come along. She loves a rack of baby back ribs.

If we do Columbia we could draw a few more folks. I had thought that before and suggested Mellow Mushroom. I think AprilM & Gary would come down from Chesnee and Harlequin Pixie from Charlotte plus a few others. Maybe Carla (Peanuts mom) can give us a heads up as to her schedule and we can work it around that.

I also thought of doing an Aiken BBQ at our place, that way we could possibly draw some Georgia Orgers. I'll probably hold off on that GTG till the weather get's abit cooler. BTW, I do my ribs in the oven with my own concocted dry rub. I'm sure Janie would enjoy them and besides grilling stuff, I'll be sure to have some ribs as well

Either way, I'm game for it. If you have it at your house, I can put the hammer down and be there in 2 hours. Also, I can bring a cheesy potatoe casserole and my famous PB pies.
I work every other weekend, so I have a 50/50 chance on making it.

Rather than post here, why don't you both PM me your weekends OFF schedules for the next 6 weekends.
When there is a weekend when you both are off, I'll plan and post a GTG in Columbia. I'll also PM a few folks incase they don't see the thread.

Actually, why don't you PM me the weekend OFF schedule right thru October. The weather will be cooler and we can do a BBQ GTG at our place so you both can attend
